Fox Hollow Farm

Today, Madelyn and I went out to farm country with some friends and visited all the neat animals and decided that perhaps we'd like to live out in the country one day too ;)  There really is something about the slow pace of a farm and the smell of the trees and the beautiful and quiet surroundings...I'm glad, even if we don't live there, it takes about 25 minutes to get there :)  What a fun morning!
Lachlan and Maddie...
Such a sweet horse!
Madelyn was much more timid than I expected her to be at the farm(considering how comfortable she is with just about any size dog!) and preferred watching the animals to touching them, but if need be...a one-finger touch at the most!
Finding small spaces!
Quite the perplexed look...
"Helloooo?!"
note: 1 finger ;)
Out of all the cute and cuddly animals, Madelyn seemed the most at ease in the chicken coup!  I don't know...all these little peckers charging seem a bit frightening to me!
Getting a little more comfortable with Daisy the Pony!
"...I will NOT touch that baby turkey!" (yes, turkey!!)
"But I will watch with envy as my buddy Mia bravely touches..."
This baby goat absolutely loved Lindsey!  It was so funny to see it nuzzle with her like it was a little cat!
I don't have the pictures to prove it, but Mia and Lachlan had no fear in catching a bunny and holding onto it proudly!
Maddie was soon done with the animals but behind the farmhouse...a surprise awaited...
ROCKS!! (a new passion!) WATER!!
What beautiful little ladies!
Handsome Lachlan!
Precious Finley!
A Lindsey-bench!  Perfect for snacks by the creek!

Wow - Maddie DID get comfy with Daisy! Did you notice that she was using 4, if not 5 fingers to pet her? I think you're both ready for life on the farm. Better start looking for some property in Squah-ville.
